Hot damn I'm a liar. At least it wasn't two months without posting. Uh. Lessee. Nothing of note has happened. I bought cigarettes. Girls think I'm some sort of great actor and cute and whatever else she keeps telling me. The baseball team expects to see me in Hollywood one day. I realized that if I had to do acting for a living I would literally have to be stuck in an asylum.

OH NO I LIED I HAVE DONE SOMETHING OF NOTE: Started going crazy over University apps. I really really want to go to the University of Chicago. From everyone I've talked to, it's one of the best schools in the damn country for Anthropology. I'm just going to need to write essays that'll take them by storm. And not go insane while I do that, 22 hours of college, (hopefully not) a play, tutoring, being dumb and LJ RPing while never using this journal. And. Uh. I had something else and lost it my bad.

Finals week is this week. And I should be sleeping instead of posting something on this at 5:30 in the morning. But like that'll stop me. I may also be rambly because of the time.

Oh. And I thought about stealing that Christmas meme Kowareta, monk, and Qwerty did. But I thought better of it because two of them are family, and Kowareta can't really get me what I want. Because that would require me wanting something other than trying to ride the University train and getting published. So! I'll see what I can do about sneaking things into that box of my sister's and passing it off like I'm real cool. Maybe just a letter. I hate how pictures of me turn out.

Another meme. Give me your deepest darkest secret and I'll give you five questions. Or you can just tell me your favorite food.

From Jeff:

1) Fight scene or touchy-feely interaction scene. Which would you rather play out?

Honestly? I like touchy feely goopy stuff more, because it usually has more character development. Granted beating the snot out of people is good once in a while, but my goopyness wins out.

2) Name one fictional character you really like, and your favorite quality about them.

Um... I'm gonna go with Mikael Blomkvist, because he was such a damn good detective, journalist, and ladies man.

3) Who's your favorite Rider?

I know this sounds selfish and dumb, but I still think Agito is my favorite rider, because he made a belt out of sheer manliness.

4) Sonic or Mario?

Sonic. Early, good Sonic.

5) How did you do in the play, and how much fun did you have in the end?

Amazing, if I do say so myself. And what people told me. And. Too much of it.

Linka questions:

1) What kind of plot would you like to see in the future?

I dunno. Maybe one that's so ridiculous no one can take it seriously.

2) What kind of character type would you want to see?

More thugs. We always need more thugs. Or, rather, we need more monster girls. Lots of them.

3) Who's become your favorite character to play?

It goes in a cycle between Geo, Cyril, and Ryuuko. But usually Cyril beats them all out and is the easiest to post with.

4) Favorite character(s) to play with?

Honestly, anything that's run by Linka, Ark, Jeff, or Jinn. Specifically, I like Saikou, Shiroko, Alexandra, and Jinn the best. And Ruin too, I guess.

5) What's a video game you enjoy?

Guilty Gear X2 has never gotten old, no matter how much I overplay it.

Jean Questions:

1) What was your first impression of me?
I think it was when I was dragged into our side room on the first server and you had us run around for your amusement. In mechs. I thought you were crazy.

I wasn't far off.

2) Are you glad I dragged your ass into DA?
I am. It's actually help me come far in my writing/RPing skills, and get a taste of a different style.

3) What's your favorite Tabletop System
Honestly, I like the World of Darkness and Exalted system the best, because, hell, it's amazing. And not dumb.

4) Top 3 vidjeo gaemz
Probably... Super Robot Wars OG, Persona 4, and the third one rotates.

5) Why the hell can't I think of a fifth question?
I dunno, maybe because it's a stretch to think of one?

From the Weeeeed. ...Not like that.

1) Do you like birds as "Corvus" would suggest?

Actually, I just find blackbirds fascinating. Most other birds (that I've seen) are really really dumb. While blackbirds seem to learn from their mistakes and are cunning as shit.

2) What's the story behind Corvus and Sullivan anyway?

Their family is an all-american white collar thing, and they hated it. For different reasons, obviously. Sullivan, because he HAD to be different, and Corvus because she was kinda neglected. So he came out of the closet and went off to become a wizard or something. I dunno, he killed Dumbledore or something. Corvus just became a weeaboo.

3) How'd you get into RPing?

Uh, I was born into it. My parents met at a D&D game, so one of my earliest childhood memories are at hobby shops and reading D&D 2e books going 'cool I wanna do this!' and I had my first game when I was 7 and kinda never looked back. I joined a forum, which was my taste of freeform. Then I came to DA. The end.

4) How'd you get into Drama in general?

Actually, I joined it on accident. My teacher had run low on technicians, and told me that if I joined her contest as a Sound Technician, I wouldn't have to do anything in her class ever again. So I leapt at it, and then I never stopped.

5) Favorite leisure activity and why. If RPing, what's your second favorite?

Honestly, it's writing. I've gotten really good at doing haiku and AABB etc. poetry. And sometimes I do short stories that don't suck, but that never works out.

I have the World of Darkness sourcebook on it right here.

And Florida is filled with gators, while California sinks into the ocean in 2012.

So, I think I have a few weeks to cover for. One, I was on vacation. The other? I was training. Mentally and physically, in a harsh and terrible world. Preparing to lead the masses to para-Well, no. I was training mind and body for leadership though.

Uh, nothing much about the vacation. I had odd dreams, met a handful of odd people. Met a girl, then promptly lost the contact information she gave me. We fought with foam swords. Tied like 6 times, but she finally beat me. A bit abrasive, a bit angry. Someone I wouldn't mind being friends with.

Not much on the training end either. Got a few motivational speakers though. Scott Greenburg was pretty cool, even if the majority of my colleagues didn't listen to him, including me. By the end, we figured he was right. And we passed his exercises with a little difficulty. Then we had Erin Gruwell, the lady from Freedom Writers come and talk to us. It was inspiring and amazing and all of those other cliched terms. Because, y'know? It was.

Then I went to a leadership camp thing. Where I was finally elected a leader to build bridges. And to build said bridges, I had to sit on the logs, then slide wooden planks that attached to the logs in little slots across my legs, then set them in little notches. I'm a freakishly tall and freakishly lanky guy, so if I bent down, I would've lost my balance, and taken my whole team with me. So, I chose the path of retarded self sacrifice. However, doing so earned me the nickname 'Beast' and everyone took back everything terrible they had ever said about me. So, I guess I won. In the end.
But the splinters in my legs are kinda annoying.

So, I think I've done enough research/socializing with people to figure out how women react differently than men in some situations, without it being wholely based on how my family works. Because they're weird and not normal. And such. It's also fairly late and my brain isn't firing, but I wanted to get this out and onto the net as a 'go me' thing. I'll look at this in the morning and delete it. Basically I'm saying I can attempt to write about a girl who isn't a raging lesbian or walked out of some wet dream or something. And runs like a girl, instead a guy I decided had boobs and a vagina. I'll get disinterested, but at least I think I can do it...!

Also, one of my DA characters is following the same path a character of mine did a year ago. It's nearly the same exact concept, character, and how they made their friends. It's. Kinda annoying. And by kinda I mean REALLY annoying. Because I stopped using the one a year ago after I lost interest in him/got real busy, and I enjoy writing for Mr. Briar. I really do. Maybe I'm just afraid I'll go 'eh this sucks' and drop it. But he's a little less bland, alot less multi-talented, and dumber. Which is always a fun writing experience. Dumb characters are more fun than smart one's sometimes.

I'd get on IRC but after a fifteen minute good-bye speech between Allen, Jean, and I, I'd feel kinda retarded getting back on. Especially if no one's up.

I've wanted to go back to the beach ever since we went just before my senior year started. Or was it Junior year? Hoo, boy, my memory is pretty terrible. I want to say I had just started dating oh what's her face from my senior year. But jeez is my brain fried. I'm a good example of what to never ever become, kids. Also, I don't do drugs. Can you imagine how bad it'd be if I did something other than drank sometimes? I'd barely remember my own damn name.

And I had another bizarre dream. Except instead of getting mocked, I was just lost in a city. And something was looking for me. That's about all I can remember, except I apparently watched kids playing soccer, then two or three got stuck behind the chainlink goals, and were dragged under the goal posts by something none of us could see. The other people ran over to try to pull them out, and I just left. It was a pretty depressing dream, all in all. Still better than getting mocked by people I haven't even met in real life. And walking through deserts. That aren't my hometown.

Uh, if I've got wi-fi, I'm going to make an attempt to turn my LJ into a dream-journal, log of what I'm doing on vacation. The night-shift waitresses ignored them for the most part, only checking if they needed more coffee, Pepsi, or tea, depending on the person. The one drinking the tea kept his face devoid of facial hair, but wore his blonde hair a little over his ears. Pepsi drinker kept his red beard close to his face and his red hair reached down to his shoulders. The coffee drinker seemed to have had gone a few days without shaving and kept his dark hair close to his head.

A waitress stopped by their table. “What do you three want to order? The usuals?” The tea drinker half-grinned at her. She rolled her eyes and jotted a few things down on her pad, then stared at the side of the table that only had a blank chair. “Where's your last member? I'm pretty sure I've seen him around town, at least.”

The tea drinker shook his head. “Dunno. He's been shunning everyone but his girlfriend. Ain't even trying to make contact with the internet or cellphone or anything. It's weird as all get out.” He shrugged it off and took a giant gulp of tea. “Make sure they know to put extra cheese on those fries, Alice. We're in for a long damn night.” Alice smiled, then turned around and headed for the kitchen.

The coffee drinker took a sip of the light brown concoction in his cup, then set it down and stared at the tea drinker. “I guess Devin just doesn't want to see us anymore, eh?” The tea drinker shrugged and his dark haired friend continued. “Ah, well. I guess we'll discover the secrets of the universe before he does.” All three men laughed at their absent companion's expense.

The Pepsi drinker stopped laughing first. “How long has it been since we've sat here? Half a year? And even without Devin, it's still just as lively.” To his left, his blonde haired friend snorted.

“It's more lively without him and his pseudo-philosophy, Rick.” Rick nodded and took a long drink of his soda. “But... I still kinda wish he was here. He was good atmosphere.” The coffee drinker stifled a snort.

“Let him and his girlfriend have their time. If he doesn't need us, we don't need him. I know he might have helped see what we're all after, but we don't need him to find it.” Rick rolled his eyes.

“Jesus Ran. You're the most inconsiderate douche bag on the face of the planet.” Randolf raised an eyebrow at his friend. Then Rick broke out into a huge grin. “I like it.” Randolf and Rick laughed, but their other friend refused to join in. Rick looked over and sighed. “Way to kill the mood, Sean.”

Sean finished off his tea. “Whatever man. I could've hoped Randolf wasn't such a jerk, but I guess that was hoping for too much.” Rick looked at his near empty glass of Pepsi and then Randolf's half-full glass of coffee.

“Still too slow, Ran. That's like half the size of our drinks, and you're not even done.” Randolf looked at him over his glasses and took another small sip of his coffee. “It's not booze man. You don't have to enjoy it. I mean, coffee is coffee.”

“Ah, but good and strong coffee is hard as hell to find and even more of a bitch to make.” He set it back down on the table and leaned his chair back a little. “So when I find coffee like they make here, I need to savor it.”

“With enough cream and sugar to turn it nearly white. Even Rick doesn't like things that sweet.” Rick played a bit with the ice in his glass before looking up.

“He's got a point, Randolf. I mean, that's gotta be bad for you. It's probably tearing the coating in your stomach apart or killing our intestines.”

Randolf smiled slightly. “No, no. It only makes me feel like a normal human being. Trust me.” Sean and Rick exchanged a glance and Randolf reached into a bag that hung at the side of his chair. “Did you two figure anything out anyway?”

Rick grinned at this and set his elbows on the table. “Yeah. I figured a shit-ton of things out. The next big anomaly is about forty miles from here. It's a pretty big place, about a square mile or so. No one lives in the city that was there except a few crazy rednecks, and not even they wanna go outside at night. It's a nasty place. Some people go there, and they don't walk out again.”

Sean shook his head and put a few pictures down on the table. Most appeared to be shadowy figures in and around places they had seen before. They were where no human shadow should have been cast. Rick got chills up his spine as he looked at them, knowing that he had walked where those things were. He pushed them over Randolf, who smiled and pulled out a book and tossed it to Rick.

“That's got some more information on what you're calling an anomalies, you two. Though, I don't think calling them poetry would be accurate either.” Rick opened it and flipped through it. A drawing caught his eye. A man was against the wall of a ruined house, and something that wasn't quite human was tearing off his skin with wicked barbed claws. Rick quickly shut the book.

“Where the fuck did you get something like this, Randolf?” He put it back on the table, not willing to open it again. That thing looked too real, too much like something he had seen in a drug induced hallucination. Maybe it wasn't a hallucination after all. Maybe that thing was more real than he wanted to admit.

Randolf simply shrugged. “It was in dad's collection. He willed his books to me, and I found that one the one that you might want to look through.”

Sean picked it up and started looking through it. “...The fuck? This stuff, this is...” He wanted to continue but couldn't as Alice set a plate of fries in the middle of their table, covered in cheese and bacon.

“Here you boys go. Oh, and everyone but Randolf needs more drinks? I'll get right on that.” The woman flashed them all a smile and disappeared into the back. Sean stared as Randolf took a fry and dropped it into his mouth.

“You're so... This is the shit I've been seeing off and on. What my brother's weird camera takes pictures of! And you're just that damn calm about it?”

Randolf snorted and washed it down with the rest of his coffee. “Calm? Fuck no. I'm scared out of my wits. But it also means dad and I? We're not crazy. You guys aren't crazy. When we figured we should investigate this shit, there's been people going there before us.” Rick snorted, stabbed an especially cheese covered french fry, and slurped it off the fork.

“How much longer before you think we actually go and look at this place you were talking about, Randolf?” Sean looked between the two of them, and then let out a groan.

“I didn't want to do this shit again, and you're dragging me into it kicking and screaming? I thought you guys were my friends!”

Rick scoffed. “We are your friends. If we didn't help you face your fears, what kind of friends would we be?”

“The best.”

Randolf rolled his eyes and slipped the pictures Sean had put on the table into his book bag. Sean saw a few other books like the one he had put on the table in there. “A day. Gives me time to get my own business straightened out, and for you two to get together and figure out if what's in the book is what you guys were telling me.”

Sean shook his head. “Alright. One day. Gives me a chance to weasel out of it.” Rick patted Sean on the shoulder, then looked at Randolf. He looked quite pleased with the two of them, and Rick had a feeling that they would've gone to the place he had discovered with or without their consent.

“No god-damn funny business, alright Ran? We're going, so don't go just to stir some shit up, alright? Anomalies taking people in broad fucking daylight aren't a laughing matter. And we're going there in the dead of night, where this shit is active. So, we'll go, just no god damn funny business.” Randolf's expression went blank and he zipped up his book bag.

“Alright, alright. No stirring up the hornet's nest that is our next case, alright? I don't want to disappear and you two don't either, so it'll all work out.” Alice came back with a Pepsi and a tea, and sat them in front of Rick and Sean. “Oh, and Alice? I need more coffee.”

*                          *                            *

A day later, they were all in an SUV, with Sean and Rick in the front. Rick directed Sean out of their town, into the countryside. Randolf didn't talk besides to comment on the lack of stars as they approached their destination. No one else would have noticed it, but Randolf was starting to get uneasy at the prospect of being near a place that seemed to blot the stars from the sky.

After going through a few back roads, the trio stopped by a large chain link fence, with a sign that said 'Lake Big' on it. Rick snorted. “Rural America. They're real original with their names.” They all stepped out of their car, flashlights in hand. Sean flipped open his cellphone, grunted, and threw it back inside his SUV.

“Son of a bitch. We've got no reception. Is that part of this fucking anomaly, Rick? Or is it because the things in that book are around, and we're gonna die with no way to call the cops. Is that what you're planning, Randolf?” His friend shrugged as he swung his book bag onto his shoulder.

“I'm not going to get you two killed. I swear on my family name, alright?” Sean snorted. Rick didn't pay them any attention as his lighter clicked and lit up the crumpled piece of paper in his mouth. A sickly sweet smell came from it, and Randolf chuckled. “About time you started smoking again. You need it so you're not so jumpy.”

Rick finished his hit, and looked at his friends, eyes slightly blurry. “Yeah, yeah. I really did need this. Besides. It makes our little ghost hunting easier, so we can all see them, huh?” Sean snorted and looked up.

“It's not cloudy, so where are the stars? And there was a tower not even a half-mile back. We should have fucking GREAT reception.” Rick finished the last bit of his 'cigarette' and smiled at him.

“Dude, it's the last mystery we get to solve before we're all forced to get actual jobs, before we're all just cogs in the machine.” He looked over the lake, barely lit by some poorly placed lights, rather than the stars, and got the same eerie feeling that Sean had. “I... I really don't like this though.”

Randolf fished a few pieces of paper out of his bag, handing one to Rick and one to Sean. They were essentially aerial views of an open field. They both stared at him blankly. He half-smiled and closed his bag back up. “That's an overview of where we're standing. There should be a half-ruined town there AND a lake. There's NOTHING. Satellite and the like can't pick this shit up.”

Sean frowned. “So we're walking in blind into a place no one can find with our modern technology? Good to know we're thinking straight.” Rick patted him on the shoulder.

“Could be worse man. We could have to swim over to the other side of the lake. Luckily, that friend who told me about this place? He left his boat here. He and his group went out there to summon a demon or some other stupid new age crap and got too scared to finish even drawing their pentagram. Said he'd put the boat back out here so we could over there.”

“It's got a motor right, Rick, Ran. Right?”

It turned out to be a fairly sturdy, if old rowboat. Everyone agreed that Randolf was the physically weakest and that Rick was too stoned out of his mind to do anything physical. So, Sean was stuck rowing the boat across the dark waters. He expected fog or mist to engulf them at any second, but it never did. Not even as the group stepped onto land and dragged their boat onto the shore.

The eerie calm of the lake kept them silent until Rick turned on his flashlight and whirled around to face some unseen force. To the others, his light fell onto an overgrown path of rocks, leading away from the shore, and onto what looked like a paved road. The others clicked their flashlights on, illuminating some abandoned buildings. One had a half-done pentagram painted on it.

“...Well, looks like your Satanic friends decided to leave before even hitting the town itself. They're probably brighter than Ran and you.” Sean and Randolf started walking away, and Rick took a few seconds to realize his friends were leaving without him.

The streets were paved, but weren't in good shape. Rick kicked a rock into the side of a stone building, and the noise echoed around the rest of the empty buildings, and Sean swore he saw something move out of the corner of his eye. Randolf rubbed at his head and groaned. “Anyone else getting a massive headache? This is the right place, alright.”

Rick's head turned towards an alley, and he started running towards it. “So we're NOT crazy, huh? This shit is real!” He pulled a knife out of vest faster than he should have been able too, and then all the other two could see was the bobbing light. Neither made a move to go after him. Randolf was too busy trying to calm the pounding in his head, and Sean was staring into a building. There was someone standing in there. Someone who was staring right back at him.

He cracked first and ran towards them. Something about them just pissed him off, and he didn't know why. The door slammed shut behind him, leaving Randolf on the street, who finally fought through his headache and looked around for his companions.

Rick's shouts of anger came first. When Randolf finally looked down the alley, Rick was against the wall, blood running down one of his arms. He could barely make out the large human-like figure that had claws that gleamed in the light of his flashlight. He recognized it from his book, all too well. Rick looked over at him.

“She's here. Did you figure that out? She's here, and she's been waiting just for me. It's not your fault, Ran. Our Devil's luck runs out here, and there's nothing we can do about it.” The thing raised a hand as a gunshot rang out. Where it might have had something that had passed as a face, it now had a hole where Randolf's bullet had passed through. It let out a screech and started tearing at it's own body, in an attempt to dislodge the bullet. Rick started making his way towards Ran.

“So you had planned on this shit happening, Randolf.”

“Sorry. I didn't think I'd need to waste my ammo on something like that. I had thought you would have killed it with your knife.”

Rick punched Randolf in the gut and he grunted, then fell to the ground. Rick picked up the gun and turned back to the thing he could barely see. It didn't seem too interested in them anymore, so he decided to find Sean, and leave Randolf for whatever decided to crawl out of the shadows next to eat him.

Sean was easy enough to find. He was standing out of a broken window. Rick noted the fact that his eyes were glowing yellow (something he had seen two or three times before) and there was a woman behind him, piece of glass pressed against his throat. She grinned at him and sent chills up his spine.

“Rick! It's so nice to see you. I didn't think you'd ever come back to a place like this! My shadow can only stretch so far away from places like this. But to think you would come straight to me, I'm flattered! Come to join me in death, lover?”

“Shut the fuck up Alyssa. And let go of Sean. He's not part of our story. This is between Randolf, you, and me.” He aimed a gun at the girl. She smiled at him, and the glass pressed deeper into Sean's neck, drawing a thin red line of blood. The more he looked at her, the less and less healthy and alive she looked, and the more deathly her grin got.

“Standing up for someone other than yourself? You're full of surprises now, aren't you? Why weren't you like this when we were fucking each others brains out? Why did you never stick up for me?! Why won't you die? We could be together for the rest of eternity!” She dropped the glass and went straight for Rick, going straight through Sean.

Rick's first shot went straight through her and hit Sean in the right lung. She shrieked in pain and he fired again, getting Sean in the neck. Sean snapped out of his yellow eyed trance and made a pained noise before falling backwards, gasping in wet, labored breaths. A red bubble formed in his mouth, then popped, and Sean didn't move again.

“Dammit you bitch! See what you've done?” He couldn't shoot again. Even in his current state of mind he realized he had just killed the only person who cared if he lived or died. Sean was dead, and now Alyssa was in his face, most of her skin peeled away from the right side of her bod. She was dripping a dark red liquid on him as she tried to kiss him.

Her mouth tasted of rot, of the absinthe he had smuggled into the states. Her tongue forced it's way into his mouth, and his head began to swim. He shouldn't have smoked before coming here. Then, he wouldn't have seen the thing in the alley, maybe he could have used his good arm to push her away. If he was able to see her at all.

The last thing Rick saw was Randolf staggering towards him and clutching his side. Oh, right. He had used the knife when he hit him. It was a bad idea, now that he had thought about it.

Randolf stared as Rick started to shrivel. He had seem some terrifying things in his life, but as Rick turned into a dried, desiccated husk in front of him, he couldn't help but throw up. That didn't help the wound in his side, and he fell down onto his knees. When the woman finished what she was doing, she turned her attention to Randolf.

“Oh, man. I never thought I'd see you guys die like this. But you and Devin got greedy. Decided to have all the knowledge to yourselves and leave everyone else in the dark. And then, once everything fell apart, you gave up your friendship and compassion, just so you could touch things like me. Ironic, no?”

Randolf didn't hear her at all. He was too busy pulling out a stone from his bag. This wasn't any different from any potato sized rock anyone could pick up, except for the runes Randolf had carved onto it. He threw it into her, and she shimmered, then started shrieking as the bullet wounds Rick gave her began to spread across her body, flaying her into dust.

“Fucking... Finally.” Randolf slowly got to his feet, and picked up the gun where Rick had been. “Now... Just... Two more things to do. Right, Devin?”

No one answered, but Randolf turned to face the lake, and there he was, standing next to the shore. His jet black hair was slicked back, and his Oriental blood really showed under the full moon. It's like the darkness above them had dissipated just so Devin could be in the spot light. “I suppose, Ran. Anything you would like to say to me?”

Ran aimed the gun and shot him. It got him in the heart, but Devin didn't so much as flinch. “Shut the fuck up. I figured it out. I don't know how many times we've done this. Two, three? Twelve? Five Hundred? I don't know. You probably don't know either. And this is probably the same fucking speech I give each time, huh? God dammit, you really are slick. I never figure out we're doing this again until two nights ago, and then, it's too fucking late. The clues I left myself are never there in time. Rick and Sean... And they never get it. I couldn't tell them.”

Devin shrugged. “If that's what you think.” He reached into his own back pocket and pulled out a knife. “Better luck next time then, Randolf.” He threw it with frightening accuracy, and Randolf barely felt it enter his throat. He wondered if he would meet that girl from the shop again, before his whole world went black.

Devin shrugged and turned his head upwards, so he could see the moon. “They'll figure it out eventually, won't they? That this is the only way for their lives to end.” The moon seemed to nod in agreement with him, and he reached for the bullet that had imbedded itself in his heart. It didn't beat, so it was simple to tear it out. As he did, he felt his heart pump a few times and could only scream to the nothing around him.

“That bastard... That tricky bastard! Where did he learn to enchant things like that? Where did he find out how to make a bullet that could hit ghosts and make me feel pain?” Randolf's corpse offered no answers. Just more questions.

Jeez. I feel like a Texan. I've been to a rodeo since the last post, and... That was weird. I left, as it was kinda sorta dumb. But I stayed and watched a trick rider. That. Was. Amazing. I swear, if I wasn't so damn lanky and uncoordinated I'd want to do that for a living. Horses are fun to ride, but doing tricks on them seems like something that'd be... I dunno. A roller coaster that you could fly off on at any second?

Uh, I've meandered around town, broken and fixed my laptop, played through every fighting game I own, and still need to decide between Blazblue and KoF XII. I loved both series, and can't quite figure out which one would be better. KoF's new graphics were amazing, but a new GG like game with new characters who don't seem like they're gonna grate on my nerves and I can do terrible infinite loop combos with. Either way, I win.

Uh, also, I've done a bit of writing. I've decided what I'm gonna do with Sully and my stupid plot on the DA side, and even gotten people to be sub-bosses for it. Uh, I've worked on bits and pieces of stories. One of which the main character was Judas Iscariot, and he was basically part of the Devil's 'fix-it' crew, and he worked against demons and vampires and werewolves and raven-people and was basically a jackass the whole time. And eventually ended up figuring out this giant celestial conspiracy. Basically, Jehova's Xanatos Gambit vs Lucifer's Xanatos Gambit. And he helped both out. I never really got farther than that.

The other ideas are a journalist who focused on weird supernatural stuff, finally getting a girl in the process. Except his dead ex-girlfriend continues stalking him. And he has to kinda make ammends with his past before she eats his face. Or a pair of friends, one who goes to University, the other who works full-time as a roofer. The school guy's dad is a terrible awful man who's built a financial empire based on drugs and gun-running and assassinations but he really cares for his son. His territory is muscled into by werewolf gangsters and vampire crimelords and the son is of course a target, so he makes a deal with a demon/fae to give him and his buddy enough toughness to face them toe-to-toe.

Lessee. A trio of paranormal investigators, one who smokes weed to see ghosts and shit, one who had surgery done by an odd doctor to see it, and one who was born with it. The last is the leader and is slightly crazy. They go to investigate an old town, and then a shitty Silent Hill ripoff happens. And, finally, a guy who was just getting by, and his old flame or old friend shows up at his apartment. He takes them in, offers his shower, and then realizes there's non-sparkly Twilight vampires chasing after them. And want to eat him too. Sadly, unlike the rest of my main characters (Besides Judas Iscariot) he has a PHD in ass-beating and has a few ex-military friends.

Uh. I want to try my hand at a female lead who isn't a crybaby or a raging lesbian, but, y'know. That kinda falls through each time. I also wanted to try my hand at something that wasn't modern dark fantasy, but that's like the female lead who isn't a whiner or a lesbian. Or a lesbian whiner. I'll get the hang of this writing thing. I hope.

    <lj:music>Nightmare of You-My Name is Trouble</lj:music>

IE the stupid question at the top of the LJ page. I haven't slept, it's seven AM and I have nothing to do but post here and generally make an ass out of myself over the internet. So, 'where do you take out of town guests'? Well. First, we're going to assume someone I know is coming, and I'm going to take them around.

Now, my town, while bigger than some places (and by places, I mean towns in the dark ages), is still in the middle of fuck nowhere. We're 45 minutes from an actual hobby shop. An hour from a four year university. Two hours from a college people out of State may know of. Four to six hours from an actual 'big city', depending on what you consider big. It's easier to fly to the coast of Texas rather than driving there, for fear of being attacked by the various things that live in the desert.

So, keeping this all in mind, I actually have a few places to take people. One is a national park. It's the highest point in town (at 200 or so feet up) and is actually a pretty nice place to take a jog or walk a nature trail or hunt the Jabberwock or the fabled El Chupalibre at. The plant-life and everything is damn beautiful in the summer and not too bad in the fall. Oh, and if you go there at night, you might get lost. Two friends and I got lost in on a road I'm pretty sure didn't exist. We've never been able to find it since.

Number two on my list of places to go is our city park! This is less threatening at night, due to the street lights on the roads. However, once you get onto the nature trails, it's usually a nice place. There's a lake and a spring you can sit beside and skip stones on, talk about current events, or even just sit and make out nextt too. However... Once the sun begins setting, get back to your concrete. Or the spiders will get you. We found this out last summer. As we meandered through trees and shrubs and pitfalls and rocks, there was a large spider, oh, about the size of the top of a soda can. It was hanging out in it's web. So, we decided that it wasn't to be bothered. As we kept going, it became apparent that there were more of our eight legged friends.

The low point was when it was utterly black and we had to run through the paths to get back to our cars. Oh, and we only had our cellphones for light. And eventually found a tree that was infested with literally thousands of the little fuckers, each about half the size of a penny. We dubbed that night spider hell and agreed to never go through the trails during a summer's night again.

Those are the two places I'd take people that aren't indoors. The other places are mostly just where I hang out if people have decided they need me. Or where my family takes me to eat when I'm working for them. Number one on this list is Dell's Cafe. Maybe it's Del's. Anyway. It's one of the greasiest places on Earth, but the food is so damn good (especially breakast) it's worth the heart stopping. Next is Big John's Barbeque. A tree grows in the middle of the place, and they just cut a hole in the roof for it. Or they cut it down. I forget. It's been a few years since I've been there.

Uh, my community college is pretty nice, as community colleges go. I may take someone to eat the sub's food or the Hawk's Nest food, but wouldn't drag them around campus, unless I had classes. And then, I'd just leave them in the library and hope no one steals them, like one would do with a dog.

I also wonder if anyone else is being plagued by odd nightmares. Mine are getting to the point where it's kinda keeping me from sleeping like a normal person. First it was an island made of metal in the middle of the sea, then it was a city a few days ago, and now it was my High School's auditorium.

Then again, last night/today could have been the storm, rather than the nightmare terrifying me out of my slumber. Either way, I feel like a wuss.

So, really, my life's gamer points are ridiculously high.

And I'll be done with College in like two weeks, and then I've got summer. Which means... I dunno. Summer jobs? Flying? I dunno. It probably means more me around to bother the hell out of you morons. Probably time to try and write again. Or something. I dunno anymore.

When I say Hell Week, most people stare at me funnier than they already do. The actors though, they shudder, they nod their heads, pat me on the back, and tell me what energy drink works best for them. First off, lemme explain what Hell Week is, if it doesn't sound THAT self-explanitory. It's when a play isn't going good. At all. And the director thinks a week of work will make everything better. A week of 6 hour rehersals.

For me? This is really my first 'hell week' with this director. Oh, sure, we had some hard times with some of the other plays, even back in high school. But last semester? It ate up my time like mad. But my dear Mr. D swore he was going to work us less!

Then he decided to do two plays at once.

I'm running sound for one we travel with, and I'm Oscar for a few Odd Couple skits. I'll be through acting by the fourteenth. I'll be done travelling with the theatre people by the 25th. So, don't expect to see me around too much. If I am around, I'll rush plots and such. Or something. I dunno. I'm trying to write, but I never have the time. ...Well, to do anything.

I'm still alive. And I have delicious and moist Key Lime Pie. BE BACK AT THE END OF FEBRUARY.

I'm back around again, kinda. Still have my disappearing days, or my days where I'm barely online at all, but that's better than nothing, I guess. I got volunteered for a play by a 'friend' of mine, who thinks I should have to suffer through tech work with him. Depending on how this one decides to go is if I'll make any guest appearances on the net. I'll make an effort to, I really will. (unlike last time, but we won't talk about musical houses)

As for my sister, she finally calmed the fuck down. Turns out she needed actual psychiatric help for depression and being a confuzzled teen girl. She's become a regular in my disturbing circle of friends, and SMILES on a regular basis. At the risk of sounding corny: it's good to have my baby sister back. Even if she is borderline driving age.

AND I TRIED DRIVING OH GOD IT IS SCARY I HAVE NO IDEA HOW PEOPLE LEARN THAT SHIT

Spring Semester starts Tuesday. I've only got five classes and the play, so I'll be working on papers and such while attempting to keep up with two communities. Or while watching a play and pressing buttons.

AND THEN I APPLY FOR AN ACTUAL UNIVERSITY BEFORE THE END OF THIS MONTH. OHGODTHETRAUMA.

I'm still alive. And have a relatively calm life, so, expect me to start stalking all of you over LJ again. And leaving really creepy comments.

Will be my next week. AP Chemistry test is tomorrow of all days, and I'll be studying for most of the night. (Yeah, right. And maybe pigs will fly outta my ass.) My spring concert's tomorrow too, finishing up everything for band. The rest of the week should be uneventful, unless I decide to do stupid hormone driven things.

Until Saturday and Prom, that is. I get to ride in a limo with a bunch of people I don't know all too well. Except my buddy Shane and his almost girlfriend. And the almost girlfriend's fiance'. The rest are jocks or whatever the female equivalent is. Without being a cheerleader.

And now, it's story time. To a point. Kinda. Sorta. It's just a dream I had that the internet would probably be interested in. ...At least the people who sometimes read my crap.

In said dream, I was in a car with previously mentioned buddy. I was also female and bossy. The only difference here is the boobs and lack of things downstairs. I forced him to go to an odd carnival on the side of the road, on the highway, buy me cotton candy, and ride with me on the ferris wheel. It was nice, until I woke up and realized what just happened. It's been a while since I've had a dream like that, so... Yeah. That's it on my end.

It feels great to finally break out of an emo mood and reestablish your old self. Oh, sure there's a bit more bitterness, a bit more resentment, and a helluva lot more hate, but... Since when did those things NOT become part of my normal life?

Theatre season's over, my girlfriend and I are pretty much over, and after today's contest, band'll be over. My laziness is going to be over (hopefully) if I can get a job at Wal-Mart or something. Maybe that hardware place. It'd be carrying large heavy things, which I do for my family already, but with more money. Hopefully, that'll work out well.

I thought Spring was supposed to be a season of beginnings, not endings.

So, my small little town finally made the news. By an exploding oil refinery. It was a very stressful day yesterday, 'cause, y'know. Everything's alright, except for maybe our economy. No one was killed, like CNN originally said. 4 injured, and the worst is a man with 3rd degree burns on his leg. However, the explosion did fuel a little bit of angst and drama in my own life, and it's fairly annoying.

I'll end up sorting it out myself, or failing horribly and being bitter for about a week. Either way, it's bound to be a fairly interesting little play to watch.
